Aeroflot. Apparently bowing to pressure from Vladimir Putin to purchase more Russian-built aircraft, Aeroflot has committed to adding a number of Russian-built aircraft to its fleet & those of its associated carriers. It is aiming to acquire 40 Sukhoi Superjets, 11 An-148s & 25 An-140s before 2016. In addition, it has stated that it will take 50 Irkut MS-21s.  
Aeromexico is considering adding two or three B767s & a B777 to its current fleet of four B767s & B777s in order to add capacity on its Madrid, Buenos Aires & Sao Paulo routes, all of which were served by Mexicana.
Air Algerie B738 7T-VKD (40858) was rolled out at Renton, WA on 31/8.
Air Alps Do328 OE-LKE (3063) was registered as CC-ACG for Aero Cardal on 26/8 prior to delivery.
Airlinair Portugal is an offshoot of the French company & will receive its initial equipment this month in the shape of AT42s CS-DTN (093 ex F-ODUL, F-GKYN, OY-FKA, F-GKYN) & CS-DTO (095 ex N17810, F-WQCZ, TG-MWA, TG-AGA, PH-XLK, F-WQNO, F-GVZJ).
Air Sweden MD81 SE-DMT (48003) positioned from Stockholm/Arlanda to Milan/Malpensa on 27/8 for operating out of Italy.
Alitalia Express AT72 I-ATRR (432), now registered to Magellan Air, was ferried from Cologne to Shannon for painting on 3/9.

Atlantic A/L is adding ATP G-BTPC (2010 ex G-BTPC, EC-GYF, G-BTPC, EC-HGB, G-BTPC, SE-MAI) to its fleet & it was restored to the UK register on 31/8.
Augsburg A/W DH8Cs D-BLEJ (521) & D-BEBA (543) have become S2-AHA & S2-AHB respectively for Regent A/W & left Munich on delivery on 1/9.
Aurela B733 LY-SKW (25162) was damaged by an ambulift at Palma on 23/8 & remains there at present. It had been operating on behalf of Thomas Cook & has been replaced by LY-SKA (23972).
Blue1 B712 OH-BLJ (55065) arrived at Helsinki still as SE-REL on 30/8 on delivery from Miami, FL.
British A/W B773 G-STBB (38286) was registered on 31/8 & arrived at Cardiff on delivery from Paine Field, WA on 1/9. G-STBA (40542) entered revenue service on 31/8 as BAW139 from LHR to Mumbai.
CSA A313 OK-YAC (672) is due to be ferried from Prague to Manchester next week for painting for United A/W of Bangladesh. B734 OK-CGT (28549) has become VQ-BHZ for UT Air & was delivered from Prague to Khanty-Mansiysk on 2/9.
DHL Air B752 G-BMRJ (24268) left East Midlands on 28/8 bound for Auckland, where it arrived on 31/8, on lease to Tasman Cargo.

EasyJet ferried B752 G-OJIB (24292) from Gatwick to Shannon on 1/9 for repainting at end of lease from Astraeus. It is due to go to Saudi Arabian for Hajj operations & left Gatwick as EZY8001. A319 G-EZGA (4427) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Paris/CDG on 27/8.
Egypt Air A333 SU-GDS (1143) was delivered from Toulouse to Cairo on 28/8. This is the first of five A333s for the carrier, with three due in 1Q11 & the last one in 1Q12. B738 SU-GDX (40757) was rolled out at Renton, WA on 1/9.
FedEx A312F N448FE (260) was ferried from Los Angeles, CA to Victorville, CA on 30/8 for storage.
Gulf Air A343 A9C-LE (103) was ferried from Bahrain to Lourdes on 1/9 for storage.
JAL is to phase out all its B744s by the end of 1Q11 as part of a drive to reduce its fleet by 103 aircraft, which will also see it shedding all its A306s, MD81s & MD90s.
Kalitta Air. The two former Northwest Cargo B742Fs ferried from Marana, AZ to Oscoda/Wurtsmith, MO are now known to have been N623US (21705) on 25/8 & N624US (21706) on 31/8.
Kenya A/W B763 5Y-KQP (24797) left Nairobi on 27/8 bound for Roswell, NM on return to the lessor. 5Y-KYW (30586), formerly with Flyglobespan, was delivered from Shannon to Nairobi on 31/8. The carrier is reportedly contemplating cancelling its order for nine B787s due to continuing delivery delays. Options being considered include the acquisition of A330s or newer leased B767s.
Kuzu Cargo A313F TC-SGM (592) is now operating in full Saudi Arabian Cargo scheme.
Lufthansa A306 D-AIAL (405) was ferried from Dresden to Kiev Borispol on 2/9 for Mahan Air.
Lufthansa Cargo MD11F D-ALCP (48414) was ferried from storage at Victorville, CA to Xiamen on 3/9 prior to return to service.

Medallion Air MD83 YR-HBE (49396) was ferried from Marrakech to Bucharest on 31/8 at the end of its lease to RAM.
Meridian A/W has been added to the EU list of banned carriers following serious & persistent safety concerns. The airline operates DC-8-63F freighters, though only 9G-AXB (46097) is thought to be active, with 9G-AXA (46113), 9G-AXC (45999), 9G-AXD (45927) & 9G-AXE (46041) believed impounded at Ostend.
Mexicana ceased all operations on 28/8, though it is still hoped that an investor can be found & the carrier relaunched at a later date. Also see under Aeromexico.
MNG Cargo B734F TC-MNI (24128 ex D-AHLO, SP-KEN, TC-MNI, EC-JSS, N728CF) left Miami, FL on 28/8 still as N728CF on delivery to Istanbul. This is actually a restoration as the aircraft was with MNG as a passenger aircraft from late 2002 to April 2006 when it went to Spanair.
National Air Cargo B744F TF-NAC (25238 ex F-GISA, N952CA) was noted all white carrying its new registration at Manston 2/9
A6-KAH EMB190BJ (19000236) for the Al Habtoor Group arrived at Abu Dhabi on delivery on 3/9.
D-ADCN EMB135BJ (14501055) was registered JY-KME for Arab Wings on 22/8.
HZ-MF6 B739 (39318) for the Saudi Ministry of Finance, made its first flight on 27/8.
M-RBUS A319CJ (3856) of Global Jet Luxembourg was ferried from storage at Lourdes to Basel on 1/9 for VIP cabin configuration.  
P4-AFK B737BBJ (36493) was delivered from Basel on 20/8 & not 25/8 as stated last week.
SE-RIB A320 (1074 ex 9V-SBA), formerly with SilkAir, was registered to leasing company Volito Aviation at Singapore on 25/8 prior to delivery.
9K-PAA EMB135BJ (14500973) was reregistered as M-KPCO for Citco BVI lTD on 26/8

Norwegian Air Shuttle B738 LN-NOX (37818) made its first flight on 27/8 & was followed on 1/9 by LN-DYE (39003).
Open Skies B752 F-GPEK (25808 ex G-BPEK) was delivered back to Paris/Orly on 29/8, following maintenance & reregistration at Gatwick.
Qatar A/W B773 A7-BAL (38244) made its first flight on 2/9.

Regional F100 F-GNLK (11307) was noted at Norwich on 29/8 in full scheme for Eagles A/L of Italy & was delivered to Venice on 2/9. F-GNLJ (11344) was ferried from Lille to Norwich on 28/8 for painting & may also be for Eagles A/L.
Royal Brunei B763 V8-RBL (27189) was ferried from Brunei to Paya Lebar on 30/8 prior to return to the lessor. Sister ships V8-RBG (25532) & V8-RBH (25534) were ferried from Brunei to Kuala Lumpur on 31/8 also prior to return to the lessor. Former Singapore A/L B772 V8-BLE (28526 ex 9V-SVC) was delivered from Singapore to Brunei on 27/8. V8-BLF (30869 ex 9V-SVD) is due for delivery later this month.
Saudi Arabian A320 HZ-AS37 (4394) was delivered from Toulouse to Jeddah on 27/8 & was followed by HZ-AS34 (4397) on 30/8. Also see under easyJet.

Singapore A/L B772 9V-SQA (28507) was ferried from storage at Victorville, CA to Singapore on 28/8. Also see under Royal Brunei.
Star A/W A320 ZA-RED (0415) was ferried from Tirana to Montpellier for storage on 28/8.
Sun Express B738 TC-SNT (40755) made its first flight on 30/8.
Thomson A/W. Upcoming fleet changes are understood to be as follows:
B733 fleet - only two remaining in service by next summer, with all disposed of by summer 2012.
B738 fleet - eight aircraft to be leased to Sunwing A/L for this winter & four new aircraft to be delivered during 1Q11 & 2Q11.
B752 fleet - disposals (thought to be to Allegiant Air) are to be G-BYAI (26967) on 10/11, G-BYAH (26966) on 11/1 & G-OOOZ (25593) also on 11/1. The two former Belair machines, G-OOBN (29379) & G-OOBP (30394), which have been at Manchester since May, will enter service next month.
B763 fleet - G-OBYI (29138) will be disposed of next month & will be followed next April by G-OBYJ (29384). Neither G-DBLA (26063) nor G-PJLO (26064) will have winglets fitted.
Transaero B763 EI-UNC (29388 ex ZK-NCN, G-CDPT, N381LF) left Miami, FL on 28/8 on delivery to Moscow/Domodedovo.
Turkmenistan A/L B772 EZ-A777 (39548) left Paine Field, WA on delivery on 31/8.

Viking A/L returned the three B738s leased from Sunwing A/L to Toronto on 29/8. C-FEAK (30292) & C-FTDW (34704) left from Gatwick as SWG9003 & SWG9905 respectively & C-FYLC (33029) from Manchester as SWG9001.
