DHL Air B763F G-DHLK (27810) operated a service from East Midlands to New York/JFK on 19/1 & was then ferried to Rome, NY for Atlas Air as N644GT.
easyJet is expected to firm up on options for a further three A320s while it continues to evaluate aircraft types for its future fleet requirements. Having finished its technical evaluation, it is in commercial discussions with Airbus, Boeing & Bombardier regarding its new fleet, which would enter service from 2017. Apart from wishing to introduce more fuel-efficient aircraft, the carrier is aiming to acquire 180-seat aircraft to replace the 156-seat A319s.

Ryanair is reported to be in discussions with Boeing for a further 150 aircraft. These could well be B738s rather than MAX models as demand for the current generation of aircraft dries up while customers opt to wait for the MAX & thus could result in Ryanair managing to achieve a significant discount.

SAS B735 LN-BRV (25791) was ferried from Oslo to Shannon on 16/1. It then left Shannon for Istanbul/Sabiha Gokcen on 20/1 using the callsign NGR916 (Nigerian A/F) & showing NAF916 on the flight plan, but still wearing LN-BRV. B738 LN-RGC (41257) made its first flight on 22/1. B734 LN-BRQ (25348) was ferried from Oslo to Shannon on 22/1 & remains parked there.

All fifty or so B787s in airline service worldwide have now been grounded, either by various regulatory bodies or by the airlines themselves, until the recent battery problems & other safety issues are resolved.
Monarch. I reported last week that Monarch had cancelled its order for two new A321s. However, I have now been advised by the airline that this is incorrect & that the carrier expects to take delivery of them in May.

Ryan International, which had been operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, filed for Chapter 7 on 11/1, which means that the airline is to be liquidated. A332 N772RD (343) was ferried from Rockford, IL to Marana, AZ on 15/1 on return to the lessor.
SAS A320 OY-KAO (2990) was ferried from Ras Al Khaimah to Ostrava on 13/1 still as OE-IBO for painting. OY-KAM (2911) was delivered from Zurich to Copenhagen on 16/1.

Donbassaero. All of the carrier's fleet, with the exceptions of A320s UR-DAA (0085), which is being broken up at Istanbul/Ataturk & UR-DAB (0230), which is stored at Chateauroux, were transferred to the AOC of Windrose Air on 1/1.
easyJet A319 G-EZMS (2378) was noted in full Sky A/L scheme at Southend on 6/1 & was rolled out as CC-AIB on 7/1. It is now thought that HB-JZN (2387) is for Allegiant & not Sky A/L as previously reported.
EAT A306F D-AEAH (783) was delivered from Dresden to Leipzig on 11/1 following freighter conversion.

Estonian Air will reportedly only operate CRJ9s next summer & will phase out its E170s & S340s. This appears to be a complete change of strategy as the E170s are former Finnair machines obtained prior to the delivery of new E175/190s in 2013/14 as CRJ9 replacements.

Eurowings CRJ2 D-ACRH (7738) was ferried from East Midlands to Ljubljana on 7/1 after painting for Yamal & is to become VP-BBM.

Monarch A306 G-MONR (540), which is at Tupelo, MS for scrapping, was cancelled from the UK register on 7/1. The two A320s due for delivery in the spring, G-ZBAA (5526) & G-ZBAB (5581), will have sharklets. The outstanding order for two A321s has been cancelled & two more second-hand A320s will be acquired instead.

Pegasus B738 TC-CPI (40014) left Boeing Field on 10/1 on delivery to Istanbul/Sabiha Gokcen (the last B738 for Pegasus). An order that passed me by in the run-up to Christmas was for 58xA320neo & 17xA321 from this carrier, which hitherto has always been a Boeing customer. The A320neo order also includes a further 25 options & deliveries are due to start in 2015.
Qatar A/W B788 A7-BCK (38329) was delivered from Victorville, CA to Doha on 4/1 after IFE fitting.
SAS A320 OY-KAN (2958) was ferried from Ostrava to Zurich still as OE-IBM on 7/1 after painting.
Small Planet A/L Polska A320 SP-HAD (2016) was ferried from Southend to Ostrava on 7/1 for painting.

Qatar A/W B788s A7-BCC (38321) & A7-BCK (38329) were delivered from Paine Field to Victorville, CA on 21/12 & 20/12 respectively for IFE fitting.
Red Wings T204 RA-64049 (64049) overran the end of the runway at Novosibirsk by about 800 to 1000 feet on 20/12 at the end of a flight from Moscow/Vnukovo. There were no casualties or injuries to the 59 passengers & 8 crew. On 28/12 Rosaviatsia alerted Tupolev that a brakes malfunction had been the cause of the overrun at Novosibirsk. On 29/12 a similar incident occurred, but this time with tragic results when RA-64047 (64047) on a ferry flight from Pardubice overran the end of the runway at Moscow/Vnukovo onto a motorway breaking into 3 parts & resulting in the deaths of 4 of the 8 crew on board.

Having been ferried from Cologne to Amsterdam on 21/12, D-AXLK (32920) was then ferried to Antalya on 22/12 on return to the lessor.
