Osaka Kansai
Hotel
Nikko Kansai. http://www.nikkokix.com/11_english/e-index.shtml - Prices range between £145-£175 per night, per room.
I stayed at The Nikko Kansai hotel. This is the only hotel located on the Airport Island itself. From the 8th and 9th floors you can see aircraft on climb out above the Terminal. There is really no need to panic though about having an Airport View here as you have the fantastic Obesrvation Hall to spot from. The desk is open from 10am through till 9pm. (10pm during weekends) Here is the view looking out across to the Terminal from the Obersvation Hall.
Some excellent photos can be taken from the other side of the Observational Hall too which looks out over Kansai Bridge. The only brigde which links the mainland to the airport. Here is the view. The Observational Hall is free to use.
Osaka Itami
To reach Itami from Kansai. There are buses which run every 30 minutes outside the Terminals. The journey takes between 60-80 minutes. The cost of the journey between both airports is approx 1,500JPY ( approx £12 ) one-way. Once at Itami again follow signs for the Obersvation Hall. Like Kansai the viewing area is free of charge.
