AirSpace - more than just hot air
I would like to lodge a complaint about your new Atlas feature. I will no longer be able to get any work done since I discovered it!
Seriously, it is brilliant. I will be anxiously awaiting its extension to other areas of the world. Well done!
Seems like you are steeling data from www.flightradar24.com without asking for permission or giving credits.
I came to the conclusion after putting a fake plane into http://www.flightradar24.com database and 5 minutes later this plane appeared on Atlas. I have also turned recievers off in remote areas and 5 minutes later they disappear on Atlas. I hope Flightglobal has a really good explanation to this.
Hi Mike,
we're looking into this as a matter of urgency.
Once we identify the source of duplication we'll disable that data feed.

A very interesting website but I can't understand why aircraft that I see go overhead, both visually and from my SBS-1, appear on your website anything between 10 and 45 minutes later?
I appreciate this is a Beta release but the data isn't delayed by 5 minutes. It's delayed much more and inconsistently.

I manage a private network of SBS-1 sharers whose data we upload to FlightRadar24.com.
I just turned off my network feed and watched an aircraft that was local to me "disappear" from the Atlas screen exactly 5 minutes later.
I have no idea from where you're getting your data but I'm satisfied that it's either from one of my private network subscribers or from FlightRadar24.com. Either way you're obtaining and using my data without my permission.
Rather than cause RBI some embarrassing and possibly expensive publicity, I would suggest you enter into a private and open discussion with me as soon as possible.
You can contact me via the email address I've used for this forum account.
You may well have switched off the the so-called "rogue user" but that doesn't excuse your use of my data without my permission.
I respectfully suggest your manager get's in touch with me to discuss this ASAP.
As a responsible business, RBI should have first satisfied itself that it had permission to use my data, which clearly it did not. What would have happened if we hadn't discovered this abuse?
I'm not satisfied with the response.
Happy to discuss this offline on Monday.
Clearly someone has abused the data sharing service and that's not acceptable to the rest of the community. Others have had their data distributed without permission, not just me.
I, and others, spent all morning trying to determine what was going on and I could have been doing more useful work.
On a positive note you did act promptly to turn off the feed and I thank you for that.
Fortunately some monitors and controls their data to avoid such situations

As in this case.
But, Laurent, it is a very brave person who says it can never happen to them.
By the way, do you have permission from all your Radarvirtuel feeds to share their data with Aurora customers?
HI.
I think that the atlas works great from the uk down to the Spanish border. But the coverage within central Spain is very sporadic
Some planes in Gulf of Guinea ?

Hi Anmer
Could you send me your details so i can contact you off line
I sent you a PM over the weekend?
With the exception of AP-BID (a PIA flight that was well east over The Netherlands when I took the screenshot), I can safely vouch that all four AFR flights are totally wrong, both for positions and height/altitudes. All four are showing altitudes in excess of FL300 and "speeds" below 200 kts.
And with all of Europe on my realtime radar screen, none of the AFR flights is anywhere to be seen?
