Airbus A340 F-WWCJ (A6-DHG)  has jumped chocks during engine tests at Toulouse, rode over a huge concrete noise-reducing wall barrier and has lost a large part of its forward fuselage which broke away. Several injuries reported and can only assume its a w/o (was due for delivery to Etihad Airways in 8 days or so ) - c/n quoted as 856.

Sympathies go to anyone injured in this accident.

This is the third A340-600 to have a mishap in the last 10 days...Iberia A340-600 runs of runway in Quito and the South African Airways A340-600 that taxied onto the grass.

 SKY News are quoting Fabrice Bregier as saying it's damaged so badly as to be "irrecoverable".

Good news - Etihad are saying none of the injuries to the engineers are life threatening.

Looks like Fabrice Bregiers correct what a mess

some very lucky people, I would be surprised if some of the injurys are serious leg and back.

How is going on with the rebuild of the crashed aircraft? What happen with the servicable parts? Does they get recertified or implemented in other new aircrafts?

Does anyone know more?
