    Hi

Well depends if you want to photograph the aircraft, if so Long Stay Car Park 1 for Runway 33 approach this would be a good option all though expensive at £7 for 4 hours. If they are arriving on Runway 15 then the best place would be the railway bridge at Marston Green Station or Shelodon Country Park

You can find more info here

    Best of Luck

Re: A380 Airbus Flying into Birmingham

Looks like it will be using runway 33...to be confirmed...still due at 12.35 and it's likely to be A6-EDE

    More info on the day

KLM will be sending their retro scheme 737 PH-BXA this will operate flight KL 1423 from Amsterdam at 10.30 and depart at 11.30

Lufthansa will send their A320 retro scheme D-AIRX this will operate flight LH4904 from Frankfurt at 17.45 and depart at 18.25

Classic Flight Dragon Rapide will come over from Coventry around 11.00am to be ready for a photo shoot next to the A380. the Rapide having operated the first service from the old Elmdon back in 1939

Plus 20 or so light historic aircraft are planned to arrive for the anniversary

All this maybe subject to change, so don't shoot the messenger

Sorry to keep asking, but does this mean that Marston Green railway bridge will be good or not ?

Re: A380 Airbus Flying into Birmingham

If its 33 then the Long stay car park will be the best option for landing and departure shots.....Marston Green railway bridge is for landings and departures on runway 15.

Currently BHX arrivals are landing on 15

There are other locations around the airport see link enclosed...

Thanks for that. I was planning to arrive by train so the long stay may be a bit too far away from International to walk.Sad

You can get the the bus from outside the terminal..you need long stay car park 1...they run about every 10 mins.....thats if they are on Runway 33

It just headed out over my office in Rugby but I didn't manage to get a picture with my trusty camera-phone so I've recreated it using an old copy of Flight.
