After a long and torturous gestation period the A400M is now alive. This momentous occasion occurred when all 4 engines as fitted to aircraft 001 were started and run together enabling all internal systems to be operated without any external ground support. It is anticipated that after a relatively short time this aircraft and its siblings will take to the air and will prove beyond any doubt to the detractors the aircrafts capabilities.

Are there any videos of the engine run and engine testbed flight tests out there?

There is a video published by Airbus today that shows all four engines running on the 01 aircraft. I have not seen any videos of the C-130 flying test bed. In fact Airbus have been very secretive and have not issued very much in pictures or videos up till now. Hopefully with the first flight now pending the company will publish more pictures and or videos.

I wonder where they have tucked it?

Found it on this blog site. As I read it this video was published by Airbus and would have thought it would be on their news site but apparently not so. It also came up on several other blog sites. http://blog.flightstory.net/1425/video-airbus-a400m-engine-start/ Hope it works
