Aerolineas Argentinas renews its visual identity keeping certain characteristic elements, such as the condor - currently present with a simple and slender line - but changing its blue color for light blue as a tribute to our flag, with a touch of yellow with reference to the sun.

Wow, what an upgrade to its existing livery! The current bare-minimum livery did it no justice.

These "airy" liveries seem to be catching on. I'm think of Oman Air, Garuda Indonesia, SATA, and Pacific Flier.

Anyone else notice similarities?

Here's some interesting commentary from the Airlines Business blog:

More importantly, what we want to really know is whether this lick of paint is only really skin deep, and that underneath it is really the same old, loss-making, legacy, Latin basketcase.

This recent Airline Business article shows what they are trying to do on the strategy front.

Any folks in South America to weigh in on this?
