It's all a secret according to the report, but apparently both companies are testing to see algae-derived jet fuel could be the answer to the world's global warming issue:

I really think these sort of angles need to be explored and i am glad that Boeing are involved in testing the possibility of this. I think it will be a long way though until you could say that Aviation's carbon footprint has been reduced to zero!!
