Air Seychelles is returning two Boeing 767-200s to International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) three years early.
The carrier has returned the first aircraft and will be returning the second aircraft to ILFC in November, said the airline.
Discussions between Air Seychelles and ILFC were held "to amend the current lease between both parties for an earlier return of both B767-200s", added the carrier.
The two aircraft joined the airline in August 2008 and April 2009, with the leases expected to end in August 2013 and April 2014.
"In line with [Air Seychelles'] new business strategy, we are right-sizing our fleet and streamlining, hence the return of the [Boeing 767-200s]. Our new business strategy will focus on maximising revenue by ensuring appropriate capacity on all routes, flights and adequate use of our fleet," said Bram Steller, the airline's CEO.
