I am lucky if I remember to turn the camera on and remove the lens cap!!!!, but I have a go.
The latest report has a headline that the aircraft was equipped with TAWS (Terrain Awareness System) and yet reading the text it states that there was a Ground collision warning system (GPWS ?) Waht is surprising is that th crw should have had warnings that they were below the glideslope. If this is the case then the aircraft may not have had the protection of a TAWS system . One of the fundimental weaknesses of the od GPWS systems was that in landing configuration (Gear down , Flaps in landing range) no warning would be given if you are about to land in a field, on a non ILS approach. With E-GPWS the terrain clearance floor would 'Know' if you were about to land short of a runway
