All Nippon Airways said Friday that the earthquake in Japan led to the cancellation of a total of 131 flights, both domestic and international, grounding 32,700 passengers.
Including diversions, the quake affected a total of 162 flights and 37,800 passengers. An ANA spokesman said all flights coming into and out of Tokyo's Narita airport and an airport in Sendai in northern Japan had been cancelled from 0900 GMT. But he said Haneda airport in Tokyo is partially open.
