One of the more bizarre auctions your likely to see, anybody want to go in for a Starliner with me? I have a £5 spare!!!!
I've heard an unconfirmed rumour aviator1 that the historical division of lufthansa have brought these Starliners and plan to get one of them flying again!!!! Seems a surprising move.
AirSpace - more than just hot air

Consider it confirmed.
Associated Press are reporting that the buyer is 'a Berlin-based foundation within Lufthansa's aviation group'. This has also been confirmed by one of Lufthansa's spokespeople.
Mighty big thumbs up to the folks at LH.
On a side note, are there any ex-LH B737-100's left in existence? I know non are in a 'flyable' condition, but I guess there are still a handful rotting away down in South America somewhere. Acquiring one of those birds for the collection would really be something to shout about.....
Vidi, Vici, Veni. I saw, I conquered, I came.
