Moscow-based all-cargo carrier ATRAN, which operates charters in Europe, Russia and the CIS, has taken delivery of its second B737-400SF aircraft. Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) converted both the Boeings from passenger to freighter configuration at its Flightstar Authorized Conversion Center in Jacksonville, Fla.
AEI VP of sales and marketing Robert T. Convey said, “AEI was the first and remains the only 737 conversion provider to be certified in Russia and the CIS.” AEI’s 11-pallet format offers total main-deck container volume of 4,572 cu. ft., higher than any other B737-400SF conversion. Aviation Capital Group (ACG) is leasing both 737s to ATRAN, whose fleet also includes 12 Antonov and five Ilyushin freighters.Source: aircargoworld
