Geneva – After confirming three new routes from Geneva, London City, Milan Malpensa and Marseille as well as a Milan-Marseille route, Baboo is now announcing two more items: the launching of a Geneva-Oxford route and a partnership with the Romanian carrier Tarom.
Opening of the Geneva-Oxford route
Starting on 19 December, Baboo will fly from Geneva International Airport to London Oxford Airport once a week, on Saturdays. This new destination will bring Baboo’s total Geneva-London flights to 12 per week, with the other 11 going to London City.
In so doing, Baboo becomes the first scheduled international airline to fly to London-Oxford, up to now a mainly business jet and charter airport. This prestigious city with its surrounding counties is in line with other exclusive destinations already covered by Baboo such as Saint-Tropez and Florence. “We are pleased to link London-Oxford and Geneva once a week complementing our two daily flights to London City. British residents who enjoy winter sports or mountain activities will be able to avoid overcrowded airports when travelling to top Swiss and French resorts,” noted Jacques Bankir, CEO of Baboo.
Partnership with Tarom
Baboo has been operating flights from Geneva to Bucharest for a year already. Thanks to its partnership with Tarom, Baboo will now offer 12 weekly flights between Switzerland and Bucharest: 6 times per week from Geneva with Baboo aircraft and 6 times per week from Zurich with Tarom aircraft. All of these flights will be operated in code share and sold by both airlines.
Even better, this agreement will also allow Baboo’s customers to take advantage of Tarom’s network in Romania and Eastern Europe connecting in Bucharest. From Bucharest connecting Baboo flights to Bordeaux, Nice and Toulouse will be available via Geneva.
This type of partnership is the fourth for Baboo that already operates code-share routes with Air France, Darwin airlines and Olympic Air.
