Does anyone know where I might obtain a photograph or other information about the above pilot.

The only information I have is that he was the pilot of the British Airways Electra which flew Neville Chamberlain to Munich in 1938 and was awarded the OBE.

He also appears in a few articles in the times around 1937-1939 and is mentioned in an article in Flight magazine from 1957.

Other than that and his date of birth I really do not know where to start.

Many thanks

HE IS RELATED TO MY MOTHER (AND HENCE ME).

My mother has a clip from the news paper where he was endorsing a watch.

Ill see if I can find it

I think he was my grand mothers cousin?

Ill ask my Mum tommorow when I see her in the hospital.

It is the only relative I know of that I can proudly call a hero.

Her maiden name is Tomlin

Hi Otto,

Thanks for your reply.

This is all very exciting, your grandmother must be Ialla Flowerday (not too sure of the spelling)?

If so then I have a few people who would dearly love to contact you and your mum.

Victors son for one and my aunt Beryl, your cousin through her mum Victors sister Beatrice Flowerday.

I would love to see the newspaper clip.

My email address is andywebb@thevisres.com

If you send me an email I can let you have a picture of Victor - there aren't many and they aren't very good.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Andy
