Hello,

The new version of Atlas looks good, new functions are appreciated especially the menu collapse. However, I am having an issue which is explained below.

I have a problem that I am wondering if someone can advise whether they are having the same one or be able to help me out.

When I start the Atlas tracker in my browser, none of my own flights display, even after waiting an initial period of over 5 minutes as I have always had to do. Flights from other locations display fine but in spite of the fact I have active ADSB flights on my box, nothing for my area. I checked the Atlas log and it looks like I am sending data okay. Has anyone else observed this problem now or in the past? Is there something I can do to fix the situation?

Cheers

Hi

The most important thing is the time synchronization. If you use an old version of FlightShare (before 1.03k) there is no NTP time sync included and if your PC time is wrong, your contacts will be counted as invalid by the collector process.

Since you are the only one in your region, you should see your contacts. Which contribution tool do you use?

Best regards KjM

Hi KJ,

My time is set properly and my Flight Share is updated to version 1.81 according to my display. I checked for updates from the pop-up menu and it verifies my version is up 2 date.

Since I started feeding, I have always had to wait 5 minutes from opening Flight Share to see any contacts but for a while now, not sure exactly how long but it has been over a week, I have been getting nothing when I have checked which is not every day.

As for the contribution tool, I do not understand exactly what that means; sorry!

Cheers Steve

Hi Steve

I have checked the logfiles and yes, your time is correct (only 10 seconds difference to sync time). You use the same PC for contributing and for the Atlas map?

Can you see aircrafts over Europe?

I have checked the statistics from yesterday and 149 contacts (unique aircrafts) are registered from your system - thats normal.

So lets check why you cannot see any contacts. The 5 minute delay is normal but 5 minutes after start of Flightshare you should see any contacts on the map.

I'll send you a private mail with a special link to check your contacts Email

Best regards KjM

Hello,

can you please tell me how  I can check my logfiles and statistics?

Thank you,

beauceron

Use the popup menu (right mouse click on the globe icon)
Here you'll find the option 'Show flightshare logfile'

Statistics are only available on the server for administrators.

If you also miss some aircrafts, please send me a private mail with your email address. I'll send you a link with a debugging version Geeked

Best regards KjM

Hi Kai-jens,

when I rightclick the icon I only get the Adobe Flash player settings and no popup(s) wich mention flightshare...

Maybe I looked over it but is there an Atlas flight tracker manual somewhere on the website?

Regards,

Beauceron
