    Embraer nets two executive jet orders 

    Falcon Aviation Services Abu Dhabi ordered eight Embraer Executive Jets: four Phenom 300s, three Legacy 600s and one Lineage 1000 aircraft. $145.78 million. 

    Globalia Group Spain 11 jets. The new order includes eight Phenom 100s, two Phenom 300s, and one Legacy 600. $62.31 million.

    Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior and Sikorsky Aircraft Corp have signed contracts for 16 S-92s and 15 S-76 multi-mission helicopters together with 9 Schweizer 434 training helicopters. The latter, a manned version of the MQ-9B, to be powered by a single RR300 turbine engine, similar to the R66.

    Cessna announced an order from Wallan Aviation Saudi Arabia, for 11 Citation business jets and 14 single engine aircraft US $110 million

    Also five Citation Sovereign aircraft from jet charter operator Smart Avi Egypt US $80 million

    DAE (Dubai Aerospace Enterprise) has signed letters of intent for 200 Airbus and Boeing aircraft today at the Duba air show.

    The deal - worth $27.2 billion at list prices - is split 50/50 between the two airframers, comprising

    70 x A320 

    30 x A350 XWBs

    70 x 737s

    5 x 747-8Fs

    10 x 777-300ERs

    15 x 787s.

    Air Arabia budjet carrier orders 34 A320s and options for 15. They chose the A320 above the 737, having 11 A320s in their fleet

    The United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and Sikorsky Aircraft Corp have signed a contract for 10 S-70A Black Hawk Helicopters.

    The Dubai Air Wing signs for an additional AS365N3 Dauphin to be delivered at the end of 2008 in VIP configuration.

    Qantas orders up to 188 narrowbodies

    Australia’s Qantas Airways is to acquire up to 188 more narrowbody Airbus and Boeing aircraft through lease and purchase arrangements.

    The Oneworld alliance carrier says the aircraft will be used “to support the further growth of its two brands, Qantas and Jetstar, in Australia and Asia”.

    UAE Sheik signs for Aerion supersonic business jet
