December 2009 marks the start of the 75th year of operations by Edinburgh Flying Club Limited and I am researching the history of the club in connection with the celebrations.

From its foundation to the start of WW2 and then for a short period afterwards the club operated from Macmerry Airfield in East Lothian to the east of Edinburgh. It then moved to Edinburgh Airport and other than a brief stay at nearby East Fortune while Edinburgh's runways were being strenghthened, it has been there ever since.

Does anybody have any stories, photos or other information they would be willing to share?
