In a long forgotten post on this forum I said that the UK's new carriers werent up to the job of being CTOL capable, because unlike those with aviation tunnel vision ,I know my boats and even tanks and guns. I  knew intuitively that they  ( the carriers) just didnt have the installed horspower to provide enough wind over the deck  let alone the energy to operate a half decent cat shot, and  there is no one  left who knows how it all should work

It now appears that the MOD have come to the same conclusion, so after much expense the UK is going back to the F-35B.

I know that you arent anybody on the world stage without  a carrier  but maybe the UK  should sell the things (if anyone will have them) and stick to the businees of creating CGI carriers as a deterrent.
