A Flybe Embraer 145 operating BHX-STR with 15 pax on board overran the runway on landing in Stuttgart

Flybe Embraer ERJ-145, registration G-EMBW performing flight BE-7125 from Birmingham,EN (UK) to Stuttgart (Germany) with 15 passengers, overran runway 07 while landing at Stuttgart at 15:30 local (14:30Z) and was stopped in the overrun area (60 meters/195 feet). No injuries occured.

Stuttgart's only runway, 3345 meter/10974 feet long, had to be closed for about two hours, inbound flights were diverted to Munich and Frankfurt, the passengers of departing flights had to endure delays.

Heavy snowfall had prevailed since noon. The airport said however, it is yet unclear, whether the overrun occured due to weather, runway or airplane conditions. The airplane apparently suffered no damages.
