Everyone, please disseminate this information
The Immersion Vision Imaging System is in prototype stage, we have a working prototype as shown on the videos on the referenced website.
As this system provides a seamless 360h x 240 V field of view, single image (no stitching), and can generate photographic images from a unique new lens design, or can display CGI images. Since these images are on the same immersive format, CGI visual data can be displayed over the video feed (augmented reality).
the screen is continuous and extend 30 degrees below the horizon or eye level. This allows the viewer to look up and out but also downward.
This allows a cockpit to be simulated visually all around the viewer, and one will be able to reach out to the location of the image of a control switch, dial or lever and manipulate these controls by use of body movements similar to Microsoft Kinect.
This technology can provide a universal simulator at low cost per unit, to provide simulation for command and control overview, aircraft, tanks, ships and for individual boots on the ground simulation.
Rockwell Collins, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, British Aerospace Australia, Saab Scania Aircraft, Honeywell, General Electric, NASA, and many other companies have been looking at this invention on the website but no one has started the discussion of absorbing this technology.
If we generate enough attention we can bring this to market very quickly.
If you want to experience full immersion get the buzz going.
Thanks,
Frank (Boom Boom)
There are many other uses for this invention including, remote viewing, RCV interface, teleconferencing, gaming, movies, and medical imaging.
