VISITORS
THY B738 TC-JGN (34412) was today's only newcomer on the afternoon service from Istanbul/Ataturk.
Making its second visit today was Icelandair B752 TF-FIO.

FLEET NEWS
Aer Lingus. Further to my posting regarding A320s being leased to Virgin, it now seems that EI-CVA (1242) may be going to the scrapman instead. Aer Lingus will also reportedly lease a pair of A320s from GECAS in March.
BH Air A320 LZ-BHD (0221) left Sofia today bound for Marana, AZ on return to the lessor.
British A/W will base six former BMI A319s at Gatwick next summer to operate services to a number of European & Mediterranean destinations.
EasyJet A319 G-EJJB (2380) was ferried from Malta to Southend today prior to delivery to Sky A/L.
Lufthansa A320 D-AIZN (5425) made its first flight on 3/1 as D-AVVJ.
Thomas Cook A320 G-CRPH (0424) was ferried from storage at Manchester to Montpellier today.
Thomson A/W B733 G-THOP (28740), currently stored at Lasham, was registered to Aircraft Finance Trust Ireland Ltd on 13/12.

ROUTE NEWS
Aegean. I am told that the current Athens to Gatwick service is only due to operate for this winter & does not figure in the summer timetable. The Larnaca service, however, which is due to start on 31/3, is reportedly to be a year round service.
Korean Air may be cancelling its service from Seoul to Gatwick altogether. The route was to be suspended from 13/1 to 26/4 anyway, but Airline Route reports that reservations from 27/4 onwards have now been closed.
