A good start to the month with three newcomers today. Arriving & departing early was Nextjet Beech 1900D SE-LCX (UE-275 ex N11189) & this was followed by Ryanair B738 EI-EBZ (35008). The third first-timer was Norwegian MD-83 SE-RDV (49574 ex EC-348, EC-EFU, N574PJ, EC-591, EC-FVR, OH-LPF).
FLEET NEWS
BMI. Clarifying yesterday's roundup, although A320 G-MIDZ (0934) was at Shannon for a short while, it was then stored at East Midlands & it left there bound for Goodyear, AZ via Bangor, ME.
Ryanair B738s EI-EFL (37534) & EI-EFM (37535) arrived at Dublin on delivery today.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Disappointingly, June saw another drop in first visits, down from 61 last year to 54 this year. Interestingly, it is the GA side that is suffering as we saw 4 more new airliners than last year, but 11 less GA aircraft. A new airline for us was Mint A/W, whose single B752 (EC-LBC) operated a Rhodes service for Thomas Cook. Among the 34 airliner first visits, were the three new easyJet A320s delivered to Gatwick, while several "new" turboprops appeared in the shape of Aer Arann ATR72 EI-REH operating for Aurigny, Flybe's latest DHC-8 (G-ECOT) & three Eastern A/W Jetstream 41s flying for Air Southwest. Among the jets, Thai B734 HS-CMV/11-111 was the most exotic, while a rare appearance by a Quantum Air B717 (EC-JZX) was very welcome as was a visit from Danish Air Transport MD-87 OY-JRU on a Cimber Sterling flight. There were 15 new biz jets, of which the most interesting were probably CL601 C-GMMI, Lear 45 CN-TJF, Gulf 450 D-AGVS, Gulf 150 OE-FAS & HS125 P4-ALE. Rounding off the month's visitors, the remaining 2 were French A/F TBM700 125/XO & King Air 200 OM-ALE. At the mid-point of the year, the total first visits so far sits at 328, compared to 358 by this time in 2008.
