VISITORS
Air China A332 B-6091 (867) started the new service from Beijing this morning. The only other newcomer also had a Chinese connection & was Rossiya A319 EI-ETO (1679 ex B-2223), which operated the service from St Petersburg.
Correcting a couple of bloomers in yesterday's hastily prepared list of aircraft that made their first visits while I was away, please delete G-LSMB (fifth visit!) & G-TAWI, didn't first visit until yesterday.

FLEET NEWS
Air Berlin A321 D-ABCK (5133) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Berlin/Tegel today.
Air Europa B738 EC-HKR (28536) is to become EI-RUF with Transaero.
EasyJet A319 G-EZIE (2446) left Southend today as VP-BDZ for painting at Ostrava for RusLine.
Emirates B773 A6-EGQ (41076) made its first flight today.
Spanair. Another of this former carrier's A320s finding a new home is EC-IYG (2210), now registered EI-EUA, which was noted at Shannon today in Livingston scheme prior to delivery. EC-HRP (1349), now EI-EUC was noted at Dublin yesterday in Vueling scheme. The situation regarding this former carrier's A320/321s is now believed to be as follows (with thanks to Malcolm Nason & ATDB):

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Looking back, April gave us our highest total of first visits since March last year, with 65 arriving (49 airliners & 16 biz jets). This takes the year-to-date total to 213 (four up on the same time last year). New types for us were our first B787 & Phenom 300, while a returning airline was Korean Air, who reappeared after a break of about 11 years but this time using B777s rather than B747s. THY also started its second service from Istanbul. On the debit side, we lost Delta A/L.
Among our regular carriers, easyJet had a further seven new A320s delivered to Gatwick & Ryanair sent in five more new B738s. Lufthansa pitched in with eight A319s & four A320s that we hadn't seen here before, Virgin Atlantic had another A330 delivered, Air Transat sent in one of their two former Thomas Cook A330s, while Norwegian & Thomson A/W each operated two & one new B738 respectively. THY continue to come up with newcomers & in April they consisted of an A320, two B738s & the first A340 to be seen here. Other airliners comprised the first of two ex Chinese A319s with Rossiya, single A320s from BA, Monarch & Air One as well as an Air Europa A330 & B738, an Alba Star B734, B738s from Air Berlin & Arkefly, our first Korean Air B772, the latest Emirates B773, a Lufthansa Regional DH8D & finally our first sight of an Estonian Air E170.
Among the biz, the most noteworthy were probably Citation 510 I-STCC, CL605 OH-GVI, G450 I-DLGH, the first of what will doubtless many visits from G550 ZS-AOL & Premier 300 OK-PHE.

The following slots have been requested from/to Gatwick for the Champions League Final in Munich on 19/5 between Chelsea & Bayern Munich. NOTE - this list WILL change as these are slot applications & doubtless not all will be granted or taken up. Also, the times are local & are approximate (assuming I have worked them out correctly!)
