FLEET NEWS
BMI A321 G-MEDU (3926) is to have its delivery delayed one month until the end of June & will be displayed at the Paris Air Show as D-AZAB.
BMI Baby B733 G-TOYE (27455) is to be acquired by Jet2.
British A/W update courtesy of David Apps/ALST. A318 G-EUNA (4007) is due for delivery on 27/8 & crew training will take place at Manston & Woodford. A320 G-EUYE (3912) is due for delivery to LHR from Toulouse on Friday. The airline's last B733, G-LGTE (24908) is expected to be withdrawn on Sunday (7/6), while G-LGTI (23925) passed to BA ownership on 28/5 & will be broken up at Southend over the next 3 months.
The first EMB170 is due to enter service on 28/9. Three aircraft will be based at London City & the other three at Edinburgh. The delivery schedule for these is:
G-LCYD (17000294) on 1/9
G-LCYE (17000296) on 8/9
G-LCYF (17000298) on 26/10
G-LCYG (17000300) on 23/11
G-LCYH (17000302) on 14/12
G-LCYI (17000???) on 25/1
The first five EMB190s will be G-LCYJ to LCYN, with deliveries expected between 25/3 & 21/6 next year.
EasyJet A319 G-EZDY (3763) arrived from Madrid this morning & has joined the based fleet. A320 G-EZTF (3922) should be delivered to Gatwick tomorrow.
Euro Atlantic is taking delivery of former Varig B763 PP-VTC (35411). Following a period of storage, it left Rio de Janeiro/Galeao today bound for Lisbon.
Flybe DHC-8s G-JECV (4148) & G-JECW (4152) are currently being offered for sale. EMB145s G-EMBI (145126) & G-EMBJ (145134) are due to go to BMI Regional, with the former expected to be delivered on Friday.
US A/W A332 N279AY (1011) left Toulouse today on delivery to Mobile, AL.
ROUTE NEWS
African Alliance has delayed its start indefinitely. It had been expected to start services this month using a Flyglobespan B763.
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
A strike by pilots at TAP & Portugalia is scheduled to start tomorrow & is due to last until 13/6.
