VISITORS
A rare type at Gatwick these days, Gulfstream 3 N461AR (384 ex N1982C, N399WW, N399BH, N369CS, N112GS, N818TJ) registered to Osprey Air Lease made its first visit at lunchtime wearing a very dark blue (possibly grey) scheme with a black registration. This airframe visited as N818TJ as recently as 7/3 this year & was also to be seen here as N1982C back on 07/03/85. The day's other newcomer was Abu Dhabi Amiri Flight A320 A6-DLM (2403 ex ZK-OJJ, VP-CMS), which positioned in from Farnborough.

FLEET NEWS
Astraeus A320 G-STRP (0136) failed to make it from RAF Brize Norton to Kemble today - perhaps tomorrow.
British A/W B773 G-STBD (38695) made its first flight today.
Ryanair. It seems that B738 EI-EST (34994) made its first flight on 4/10 as N761BA. Interestingly, ATDB shows EI-ESR to EI-ESU as "acquisition cancelled". I will leave you to draw your own conclusions.

ROUTE NEWS
None today.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
CRJ850 G-RADY (8081 ex D-ATRI) was registered to TAG Aviation today & promptly undertook a flight from Farnborough to Istanbul.
Rossiya A148s are currently scheduled for 9/10 & 10/10. No others are showing at the moment for the rest of October, but Rossiya seems to change aircraft types at very short notice these days.
Staff at the Airbus factories in Germany will stage a one-day strike tomorrow over the use of temporary staff. Airbus has stated that this may influence its plans to allocate more final assembly capacity for A320-family aircraft to Hamburg as this might lead to a "loss of trust" in the German sites. I hope that none of you were planning at trip to Finkenwerder tomorrow.
My usual correspondent for the supply of information regarding aircraft due the following day is out of the country until at least 17/10. If anyone is in a position to supply such details in his absence, please let me know.
