VISITORS
For the second day in a row Aegean saved us from a blank day, this time with a first visit from A321 SX-DVZ (3820).
Norwegian Air Shuttle B738 LN-NGF made its second visit.

FLEET NEWS
Air Finland B752 OH-AFI (26330), which became EI-EXX after the carrier's demise, was ferried from Abu Dhabi to Kabul on 1/11 for Safi A/W.
EasyJet A319 G-EZGO (4785) was reregistered HB-JYC at Geneva today. A320 G-EZWF (5319) is due to be delivered from Finkenwerder to Gatwick tomorrow afternoon. HB-JZI (2245) was ferried from Geneva to Luton today on return to the parent company & is due to be restored to G-EZEN. HB-JZK (2319) was cancelled from the register yesterday prior to delivery to Allegiant as N301NV.
Emirates A332 A6-EKZ (345) was ferried from Dubai to Lourdes today for further storage.
Monarch A320 G-OZBB was ferried from Gatwick to Brussels for storage this morning, where it joins A306 G-MONR (540) & A320 G-MPCD (079), which were ferried there from Manchester yesterday.
Rossiya B735 EI-CDE (25115) left St Petersburg today heading for Bangor, ME on return to the lessor.
Thomson A/W A321 G-OOPH (0781) appears to have been withdrawn from service on 31/10. For the photographers, B752 G-OOBH (29944) is the first of this type to wear the new scheme & it was ferried from Norwich to Birmingham today after painting (see Skyliner for photo).
Ukraine International B735 UR-GAT (25237) was ferried from Kiev to Norwich today, reportedly for storage.

ROUTE NEWS
British A/W is to introduce two new services from Gatwick next spring on routes currently only flown by easyJet. These are to Lanzarote (days 4&7) & Tenerife South (days 1,2,3,5&6).

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Further to my mainly tongue-in-cheek mini rant yesterday about airport expansion in the southeast, I am told that there is no longer a runway at Greenham Common - one less for consideration, though I suppose they could always build another one (or two) there! Another "idea" I seem to have missed was a rail link between Northolt & LHR, while any proposed fourth runway at LHR would be to the south not the north of the airport.

More SN601 feedback from Tony Doyle, who logged F-BTTU (22) at Gatwick on 06/05/77 & gives us an earlier date of 05/07/76 for F-BVPB.
