Soko Aviation Citation 680 EC-JYG (0087) was today's first newcomer, arriving at lunchtime. Astraeus B735 G-PJPJ (27355) had its registration applied at Gatwick this afternoon, having arrived earlier from Southend as G-GFFJ. It then left Gatwick again at around 18.40 to Bournemouth as AEU086P. Don't forget to change this one in your SBS database! Also on a first visit this evening was Pegasus B738 TC-AAH (35701).
One minor (unless you were on the flight) incident today was that B752 G-MONJ (24104), operating MON1548 from Gatwick to Skiathos, developed a cracked windshield two hours into the flight this afternoon & had to return to Gatwick.
FLEET NEWS
Air Baltic B735 YL-BBS (29267) left Southend on delivery this afternoon as BTI9802. Hex code is 502C63.
Air Europa B738 EC-JEX (32569) was noted at Palma yesterday all white & carrying PK-GEQ for delivery to Garuda.
Astraeus G-GFFJ (27355) ferried across from Southend at lunchtime today all white & was promptly reregistered as G-PJPJ on the tarmac before disappearing off to Bournemouth this evening.
EasyJet B737 G-EZJO (30244) made its last revenue flight yesterday as EZY46E from Zurich to Luton & was ferried to Southend this afternoon as EZY8002 for end-of-lease checks. As a reminder, 700 series disposals so far have been:

Ryanair B738s EI-EFA (35005) & EI-EFB (37532) were delivered to Dublin today. That makes nine that have yet to visit Gatwick.
Viking A/L will take delivery of another B738, C-FYLC (33029), on 15/5 also on summer lease from Sunwing A/L. Once again, this will be a disappointment to the frame spotters as it was previously 5B-DCE with Ajet & then G-OXLC with XL A/W. Further aircraft expected to be delivered to the airline are B733s SE-RHU (28560 ex B-2977) later this month & SE-RHV (28567 ex PP-VPU, N567HE, PK-GGU) later in 2009.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Boeing received a further 25 B787s cancellations from undisclosed customers last week. Airbus is to lower its A388 production rate again & now only expects to deliver 14 this year, but more than 20 in 2010. The manufacturer cites requests for deferrals from customers hit by the economic crisis as being the reason for this year's reduction. A350 development will, however, continue at "full speed".
