VISITORS
Viking B738 SE-RHX (28592 ex TC-IAJ, CN-RNN, EC-IEN, N975RY, EI-DJT) made its first appearance this afternoon, arriving on delivery from Shannon & entering service immediately on a flight to Hurghada. Other B738s on their first visits this evening were Ryanair's EI-EFN (37538) & Pegasus example TC-AAL (35984), both recently delivered from the manufacturer. Due very late this evening from Halifax, NS & also a newcomer to us is Learjet 36 N70LJ (044 ex N44LJ, N54JA, N286AB), registered to Jet ICU Leasing of St Petersburg, FL.
FLEET NEWS
British A/W B735 G-GFFB (25789) has become VP-BKU & was delivered from Dinard to Archangelsk today. The airline's first A318, G-EUNA (4007) will be delivered to Gatwick on 28/8 & will then enter Hangar 6 for modifications. Crew training will start on 1/9 & the first revenue service from London City will take place on 29/9. Gatwick will be the diversion airport for these aircraft & A checks are to be undertaken here at weekends.
Flybe EMB145 G-EMBM (145196) was cancelled from the UK register yesterday & reregistered as SX-CMD. Presumably, this will be off to Athens A/W any day now.
Pegasus B738 TC-AAR (28624) was delivered from Shannon to Istanbul yesterday, still in Futura scheme.
Viking B738 SE-RHX (28592) was delivered from Shannon to Gatwick today.

US A/W is to drop the daily B752 Philadelphia to Gatwick service (AWE725) from September.
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Ryanair is conducting an online poll asking whether passengers would be prepared to stand in a "secure upright position" on one-hour flights if it meant that they travelled either free or half price. I will leave you to form your own opinions!
