VISITORSEarly afternoon saw today's first newcomer, which was Norwegian Air Shuttle B738 LN-NIF (39434) on a service from Oslo (the latest one delivered to the carrier rather than LN-NIE to which I handed the accolade yesterday & which made its second visit this evening). Also during the afternoon, we received our first visit from THY B739 TC-JYE (40979), which arrived on the scheduled service from Istanbul/Ataturk. On second visits were Gulfstream 550 N105ST, which was a Biggin Hill snow diversion, & LN-NIE mentioned above. Adding to Saturday & Sunday, the operator of A320 SX-BHV was (as denoted by its callsign) Hermes A/L, which is a subsidiary of Air Mediterranee, but the aircraft wears full Air Mediterranee scheme & titles. FLEET NEWSJet2 B733 G-GDFO (28740) was ferried from Bournemouth to Southend today after painting into Jet2 Holidays scheme.Rossiya. Although A319 EI-EYL (2465) was indeed ferried from Southend to Ostrava yesterday, the report that it was for painting may be incorrect as it actually received Rossiya livery in the USA before it arrived at Southend, unless, of course, it requires a repaint or is now destined for a different customer - time will tell, as they say (thanks to all those who took the trouble to email me about this). ROUTE NEWSUS A/W. We may be about to lose this airline in the not too distant future, but US A/W is set to announce its long-expected merger with American A/L in the next few days. The combined airline will reportedly be the largest in the world. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMSA few additions to yesterday's list of Western European military aircraft:F157 C160 French A/F date?
