MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Repeated attempts at training Mrs D & Mad Max in the intricacies of SBS & the LGW Roundup have failed miserably, so tomorrow will be my last roundup before 6/3 as I will be on the other side of the world. I hope, however, to post a mini roundup on Thursday afternoon before I depart.

Going back to the list of Canadian military aircraft posted on 3/2, Keith Hinson adds a date of 04/08/72 for CAF CC-130E 130318 (4124). Keith has also come up with an interesting visitor on 08/09/74. This was a Cessna 172 of the RCAF Flying Club at Lahr, which was carrying the markings LHR-11. A bit of digging reveals that this was c/n 62639 ex N1528S, CF-CFD & which became C-FCFD, D-EOFD, SP-FOP. Does anyone know whether this apparently quasi-military serial was official, or whether it was just some type of code worn by the aircraft, please? Unfortunately, it was not reported in Hawkeye.

It appears likely that the EU has blocked Ryanair's third attempt to take over Aer Lingus. See:
