VISITORS
CityJet B462 EI-RJF (E2337 ex N518XJ, G-CEFN) was today's first newcomer, routing in from Dublin & out to Ronaldsway, IOM & back. Lunchtime saw a first appearance by BD700 F-GVMV (9202) registered to LVMH Services, while easyJet A320 G-EZFI (3888) was also on a first visit this afternoon.
Titan A/W B462 G-ZAPN (E2119) operated the outbound Meridiana flight this morning as A319 EI-DEZ (1283) had gone tech at Gatwick yesterday evening. The latter eventually escaped early this afternoon as ISS6534.
Finally, five Gulfstreams at Gatwick in one day is rather unusual these days.
FLEET NEWS
Aer Lingus A333 EI-EDY (1025) is due for delivery to Dublin later this evening. Mind you, as they have just announced that they will suspend services from Dublin to Washington & San Francisco & from Shannon to Chicago from this winter, I am not too sure what they are going to do with it.
British A/W B733s G-LGTG (24470) & G-LGTI (23925) were both cancelled from the UK register on 10/6 as permanently withdrawn from use. As a reminder, the former is at Kemble where it is to be broken up, while the latter is at Southend, where it also will meet the scrapman.
EasyJet A319 G-EZFI (3888) positioned in from Liverpool this afternoon & performed a Basel rotation, so may well now be part of the based fleet.
Flybe. It is rumoured that the airline is intending to send four DHC-8s along with pilots, cabin crew & engineers to Greece from 9/8 to 10/9 to operate on behalf of Olympic.
