VISITORSAnother four airliners made their first visits today. First to arrive was Air Nigeria A332 SU-GCI (696) on lease from Egyptair, which operated the inaugural service from Lagos early this morning. It wears a rather smart scheme (see Derek Malt's photo on Skyliner), but judging from its rate of climb on departure wasn't exactly overloaded. Lunchtime saw Emirates B773 A6-EGP (35599) make its first appearance, while CSA A320 OK-MEH (3031) turned up on the Holidays Czech A/L flight from Reykjavik. Rounding off today's first visits was THY A320 TC-JPA (2609) on the second service of the day from Istanbul/Ataturk. For reasons unknown to me, four of today's Norwegian services failed to operate.Correcting Tuesday's roundup, Phenom G-VKGO was on its second visit on 14/5 & not its first.FLEET NEWSEmirates B773 A6-EGQ (41076) left Paine Field yesterday on delivery to Dubai. Lufthansa B733 D-ABES (26432) flew its last revenue service on Tuesday from Dusseldorf to Frankfurt & will be ferried to Tulsa, OK for scrapping.Malev B738 HA-LOC (32797), which wears the temporary registration EI-ETZ, was noted at Shannon today in full Yakutia scheme prior to delivery & will become VP-BEP. Onur Air is to add former Avia Nova A320 TC-OBU (0661 ex EI-EEI) to its fleet. Ryanair B738 EI-DHI (33818) has become TC-SAI for Sun Express & will operate for AnadoluJet in whose scheme it was noted at Norwich today awaiting delivery.Thomson A/W B752 G-BYAU (27220) is due to be reregistered N927FD for FedEx in Hangar 6 tomorrow. G-BYAL (25626) arrived from Shannon as TOM9221 this afternoon minus titles & tail logo & promptly undertook a test flight from/to Gatwick as TOM9293. It will reportedly become N966FD for FedEx.THY is to add three former Izmir A/L A320s to its fleet - TC-JUA (2404 ex TC-IZM), TC-JUB (2414 ex TC-IZR) & TC-JUD (2452 ex TC-IZH).VIA A320 LZ-MDR (5158) made its first flight on Tuesday as D-AXAC.ROUTE NEWSBritish A/W is to start a thrice-weekly B777 service from Gatwick to Las Vegas from 29/10. The route is already flown six times per week by Virgin Atlantic with B744s.
