VISITORS
Just the one newcomer today & that was Ukraine International B738 UR-PSF (38120 ex UR-AAO), one of two recently transferred from Aerosvit, on the regular run from Kiev.
The cancellation of several Aer Lingus flights today seems to be due to an ongoing row between management & staff regarding rosters. More at: http://www.4ni.co.uk/northern_ireland_news.asp?id=121664

FLEET NEWS
Meridiana Fly. The ferry flight of A319 EI-DFA (1305) from Verona to Montpellier was delayed from yesterday to today. Joining it at Montpellier today was EI-DEZ (1283), which was ferried there from Alghero.

ROUTE NEWS
None today.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Some very sad news that I received today was of the recent passing away of Peter Vallance, founder of our local aircraft museum at Charlwood. For some of the many tributes to him & his legacy see:
http://www.gatwick-aviation-museum.co.uk/

For the first time in the last few years, Boeing delivered more aircraft in the last year than Airbus. Boeing managed 601, while the Airbus total was 588.  With thanks to Skyliner, the figures break down as follows:

103xA330/340
30xA380
Boeing
415xB737
31xB747

The Airbus backlog currently stands at 4682 aircraft, while Boeing's is 4373.
