VISITORSAegean A320 SX-DVJ (3365) was our first newcomer, arriving on the regular service from Athens. A spell of freezing fog at Stansted & LCY mid morning gave us several diversions, of which those new to us were BA Cityflyer E170 G-LCYI (17000305), which was a LCY diversion & the only one of their Embraers that had not been to see us before, followed by Falcon 900 N105BK (070 ex N450FJ, A26-070, VH-VIW) operated by Springway, which diverted in from Stansted on a flight from Moscow/Vnukovo, while more newcomers diverting from LCY were Lufthansa Regional E190 D-AECB (19000332) & Alitalia CityLiner example EI-RND (19000512), which is in Sky Team colours.FLEET NEWS Jet2. Thanks to Malcolm Nason for pointing out that the prospective B738s G-GDFP/R, previously with Austrian A/L, are actually carrying EI-EZB/H at Shannon at the moment. Also, Calima B738 EC-LKO (28821), which is due to become G-GDFV has been temporarily registered F-WTDE & was ferried from Montpellier to Toulouse on 19/1. ROUTE NEWSNone today. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMSOn Saturday I included a link to an article from the Northern Ireland News, which stated that some Aer Lingus flights had been cancelled due to an ongoing row between management & staff regarding rosters. I am assured by one of our friends in Ireland that this seems to have been a case of misreporting by the media & that all cancellations were weather-related.From 24/1 Gatwick will have a new HAP (Helicopter Aiming Point) located on Taxiway Uniform by stand 234M. At present all helicopter flights need to obtain runway slots, which during the summer can be a problem. All flights will arrive from & depart to the north & at no time will be allowed to go south of the H.Due tomorrow:Regulars - AEE6LW/SX-DVZ, BRU851/EW-276PJ, BWA902/9Y-LHR, MLD833/ER-ECB, SNM051/I-SEASNAX flights - 1ZN/DYP (also 12J), 5WP/NGB, 32A/NOC, 36C/NGG, 51M/NOX, 5818/DYYCREDITSBrendan O'Moore, Malcolm Nason, Malcolm Baldry, Pete Bance, David Cooper, Chris Mellon, Stephen Dedman, Les Wallis, Mr Anon, Jethro, Skyliner, ATDB, George Segal & anybody else that I have forgotten.Happy spotting!
