VISITORS
Nothing new today, but one movement that I probably should have mentioned yesterday was the evening visit of easyJet A320 G-EZFC (3808), which operated a service from/to Madrid. You will recall that this was delivered from Finkenwerder on 17th February & then departed to Amsterdam very early the following morning & didn't return. This was its first Gatwick visit since then. Thanks to Ian Chadwick for the reminder.
FLEET NEWS
Aer Lingus A330 EI-EAV (985) was delivered from Toulouse to Dublin this evening. Unlikely to visit Gatwick, but who knows?
EasyJet A321 G-TTIH (3546) was cancelled from the UK register yesterday & reregistered as G-OZBT. Don't forget to change the record in your SBS database. A321 G-TTII (3575) was ferried from Luton to Norwich this morning as MON321P.
Emirates B773 A6-ECO (37706) left Paine Field today on delivery to Dubai & A6-ECP (37707) was test flying, also from Paine Field, this morning.
Estonian Air B735 ES-ABC (26324) is destined for Aerosvit in the near future.
Meridiana plans to shed up to nine aircraft this year, presumably half of the MD-80 fleet. The first to go may well be EI-CIW (49785), currently parked at Madrid & due to go to AfriJet.
Monarch. It would seem that Rolls Royce & FedEx have settled their dispute over one of the engines (see roundup for 15/2) as B752 N935FD (22780 ex G-MONB) left Manchester this morning as FDX9079 heading for Bangor & then freighter conversion.
Norwegian Air Shuttle B738 LN-NOO (30289) may well be delivered shortly. It made a test flights from Lasham yesterday afternoon & then again this afternoon still as N289CG.
