VISITORS
Newcomers seem to come in pairs these days or not at all. Today's two were Air Berlin B738 D-ABBB (32624) on the afternoon Hanover service, plus an early evening appearance from Citation 680 D-CCFF (0114 ex N11084, SE-RFI) of Air Alliance Express.
Further to yesterday's notes on Iraqi registered aircraft at Gatwick, Keith Hinson has managed to come up with a further one & one that our eagle-eyed Hawkeye reporters managed to miss 42 years ago. This was Beagle Pup YI-AEK (B121-034), which he noted on 21/03/69 on, presumably, a test flight from Shoreham as, according to Air Britain, this reverted to G-AWWG for its delivery flight. Does anyone have any more?

FLEET NEWS
Donbassaero A320 UR-DAJ (0760 ex TC-ALU, EI-TLP, N681LF, F-OHLO, AP-BGW, N263LF) was noted at Dublin today in full scheme awaiting delivery.
EasyJet A320 G-EZUK (4749) is due to be delivered to Gatwick tomorrow, though Stansted has also been mentioned.
Jet2. According to the rumour mill is to dispose of B733s G-CGET (27455) & G-GDFA (24011) & will obtain three B738s & a further two B752s for expansion.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
This week's nostalgia corner features those examples of the Vickers Viscount that visited Gatwick. The Viscount was the world's first turboprop airliner & the prototype made its first flight in 1948. By the time that production finished in 1964, a total of 445 had been built, making it the UK's most successful airliner in terms of numbers produced. The Gatwick Aviation Society has a particular affinity with the Viscount & is proud to be able to assist in the upkeep of G-APIM "Viscount Stephen Piercey" at the Brooklands Aviation Museum at Weybridge through the donation of profits from our annual Gatwick International Aviation Enthusiasts Fair. The Star Air B762F flight is due to reappear on Tuesday with the same timings & callsign. Apparently, this flight may become a regular a couple of times a week for the next few weeks due to restrictions recently imposed on UPS operations, though may not always be operated by Star Air. Another Danish visitor on Tuesday should be an Atlantic A/W BAe 146 eta 12.10 as FLI9982, etd 12.55 as FLI9983. For those listening on the airband radio, Star Air aircraft use the callsign "Whitestar", while Atlantic A/W call "Faroeline".
