FLEET NEWS
Flyglobespan B733 G-GSPN (29267) operated its last revenue service on 26th January from Alicante to Glasgow & was ferried to Bacau today for post-lease maintenance.
FlyLAL B735 LY-AZW (27629) was due to be ferried from Vilnius to Shannon today on return to the lessor.
Spanair MD-83 EC-GVI (49936) became N936MD with GECAS on the 23rd & was due to be ferried from Palma to Keflavik today.

ROUTE NEWS
Air Europa will take over the Madrid to Gatwick service that it currently code shares with Air Comet from 1st May & will introduce its new EMB195s on the route from that date. So far, the airline only has EC-KRJ (19000196) in service, but has a further ten examples to come this year.
EasyJet will, I understand, shortly announce flights from Gatwick to Munich, Vienna & Zurich in direct competition with the proposed Aer Lingus services.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Larger additions to the UK register this week so far include PC-12 G-MOLO (1090 ex HB-FST) with a Jersey address & Beechjet G-KLNR (RK-552 ex N552EU, N552XP) for Skydrift at Norwich.
An unidentified customer has cancelled its order for 15 B787s. Previous cancellations have been 3 for Xiamen A/L & 1 for Azerbaijan A/L. The order book now stands at 895.
