GPS technology could reduce gridlock in the skies!

 Finally, someone has had the great idea of trying to use GPS to direct air traffic. According to this report, Alaska Air has been the first to test the use of GPS and so far found it to be an effective replacement for radar.

 Surely this could be the way forward in replacing a radar technology that could take 30 odd seconds to accurately pinpoint where a plane was at at given point. at least GPS would be more instantaneous...
