The RCMP have identified the aircraft as C-GCPB, though this is actually a King Air. Looking at the Canadian Reg, Pacific Coastal have a 1944 Goose with the reg C-GCPD, so I guess that's likely to be the aircraft involved.

Really?  The Canadian register I've got access to lists C-GCPD as a Vans RV-7 Hmm

Pacific Coastal are (were) operating C-GPCD - is this the one you were thinking of?

Vidi, Vici, Veni.  I saw, I conquered, I came.

Yeah, that's a typo on my part - first off I put the King Air as GCPB when it was GPCB and then followed on from there.
