Hawaiian Airlines has added its fifth Airbus A330-200 N384HA msn 1259 to its fleet, with the aircraft operating its first flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu today.

The airline took delivery of the aircraft from Airbus in Toulouse on 5 October and flew it non-stop to Los Angeles.

"Our growth strategy is on schedule and these new long-range aircraft are allowing us to expand internationally and boost Hawaii's tourism economy," said Hawaiian's president and CEO Mark Dunkerley.

Hawaiian's new A330 seats 294 passengers. The airline is scheduled to take delivery of four more A330s in 2012 and plans to have 13 of the aircraft in its fleet by end-2015.
