Hi everyone, I am 43, female and wondering if it is too late to change my career. I am interested in becoming a pilot and getting my CPL with the necessary instrument trainings. My questions are

1.. Is it too late to change career?

2.. Is being female a disadvantage?

3.. Would I be employable after getting CPL?

I appreciate any replies.

Thank you in advance.

Hello

I have been training commercial pilots for several years now.

Your age may not help but it is not too late. I have trained people older than you who are now working for airlines.

Being a women definitely does not cause any problems in fact it may be an advantage.

There will be a shortage of pilots in a few years and if you start now then you could be ready at just the right time.

Because of your age I would not delay.  But as it is such a big financial commitment I would suggest a few lessons at a PPL school first just to check that you enjoy flying and to see if you have any aptitude.

Steve
