Just heard that the great US fighter pilot Brigadier General Robin Olds passed away last month aged 84.

He was one the last true aviator heros - he flew P-38 and P-51 combat missions in World War II and went on to lead a Phantom wing during the Vietnam conflict in the 60s. What I guy - he's a legend who will be sadly missed.

Captain

Brigadier General Robin Olds, one of my hero's. An amazing person.

Was lucky to see him at one of the Duxford Flying Legends shows, where he was signing memorabilia. A very humbling moment.
