Women in Corporate Aviation (WCA) will award two full-time college/university students with full registration for the 5th Annual Aviation and Women in Europe Conference, September 4-6, 2009, in Ferrara, Italy. The scholarships, valued at €160, 00 each, will provide the recipients with the opportunity to network with industry professionals and engage in aviation education. The scholarships include full conference participation, including attendance at all social and networking events, and a one-year WCA student membership. The recipient must pay for all other travel expenses to Aviation and Women in Europe Conference, including airfare, accommodations, meals, etc.
To apply, submit the following by June 15, 2009, to Michelle Bassanesi, WCA International Liaison, at mash@centropilota.it, using the e-mail title "WCA International Career Scholarship Application":
-Completed application (see www.wca-intl.org/scholarships.htm)
-Professional resume
-250-word essay describing the applicant's career goals in business/corporate aviation, reasons for attending the conference, and the benefits to be gained from attending
-Both male and female students are encouraged to apply; membership in Women in Corporate Aviation or Women in Aviation International is not required. Awards announced in early July 2009.
