Is this the future for freighters?

Is this the future for freighters?

With the demise of the A300F production and very few frames (A300/MD11 etc) available for conversion where do we go from here?

This might look like the Shorts production line back in the 70's but it is just having a little spring clean before going back out to earn it's keep.

Any views on what the future holds for the freight industry?

So from the Shorts Skyvan to the Boeing LCF....Would Boeing build these for the next generation of super freighters...how much further can they take the freight market.....with stretched 747s and now the 777 what next?

What have other manufacturers in mind?

He who laughs last obviously has'nt heard the bad news.

    Future freighter development includes

Japan to manufacture the Kawasaki C-X, a medium-sized high-wing military transport aircraft, as a commercial cargo aircraft

The C-X will be powered by GE CF6-80C2s

GlobalHeavy lift would probably like this to evolve into the BC-17 !  .....

    C-17 / BC-17

Well how do we think the next offering from Airbus will go...the new A330-200F. I think the current order book for this stands at about 35

Well from the large freighters to the smaller regional ones, seen here the first CRJ converted freighter awaiting delivery to West Air Europe
