Jaguar the end of an era in the UK

Today December 20th the last flying UK Jaguar operated by Qinetiq will make its last in service flights. Yesterday it flew its last mission operating with a "company" Tornado carrying out trials on the Aberporth range, working right up until the end, typical Jag!

Today the plan is for two flights one in the morning visiting Coltishall, Warton and Coningsby with flybys at each airfield. This afternoon she will make a flypast at St Athan before visiting Jag country for the last time with a low level sortie through Wales, before returning to Boscombe Down

Here's the press release from Qinetiq.

Hard to believe that its really the end of its career. I have lots of good memories of the Cat, and always thought the name Jaguar suited it well too, with its sleek appearance.

Adios amigo. You'll be missed. Crying
