As many JP followers will appreciate, JP Airline Fleets has grown consistently over the years and this has arisen for a number of reasons.

The Introduction of last years edition highlighted the problem and this year we are looking at taking steps to keep pagination within the desired brackets whilst we build on coverage and quality.

One course of action is to concentrate on specific aircraft on the basis of weight. We are exploring this option with a view to removing fixed wing light twins below 2,800kg and singles below 2,000kg. This has the advantage of allowing us to focus more specifically on our core business and provide content that reflects the title more accurately.

We are currently in the process of merging two vast databases having acquired Ascend Worldwide in June last year. This development enables us to access a wealth of data and enhance the 2012/13 edition further still.

Our key objective is to keep JP accurate, relevant and a trusted source for the aviation community. Consequently, we would welcome your feedback.

Less but more accurate data sounds like a winner to me

Agree-accuracy and relevance is more important than quantity. On a separate issue,is it possible to make the paper more absorbant to ink, without increasing your cost base?

Thank you for the feedback.

Unfortunately, we have limited scope to change the paper for 2012 although I appreciate your point. Changes in this regard have knock-on effects in the process. Heavier paper will lead to higher weight; a thicker publication; more expensive binding/wrapping and ultimately increased postage costs.

At present we use high quality paper common to both JP Airline Fleets and JP BizJet but we are aware that it doesn't suit everyone and we remain open to change if a more suitable alternative becomes available.

Thought that might be the case. If you are looking to reduce the number of pages, then the following options might be worthy of consideration:-

1.Remove Biz jets-these are included in your sister publication.

2.Remove airlines that do not have (unless in the process of acquring) a 2 digit IATA code or 3 digit ICAO code

I suppose it depends on your customer audience as to whether that would be appropriate.

Hi all, the sales section of the website seems to be showing the CD version 89p more expensive than the printed version, is that correct or is there an error ? Grateful for confirmation, thanks, RJK.

Hi,

The CD is indeed 89p more expensive due to the VAT payable on the CD. We have amended the page on the online shop to clarify the pricing policy as we appreciate that was not clear.

However, the CD is in production and will be with our distributor on schedule.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we hope you enjoy JP 2012.

Is the book on schedule for 1 June? Also do you know when it is likely to be despatched?

Hello - A batch of JP 2012 has been dispatched and should be in the stores in the next few days.

Please let us know if you have difficulty obtaining your copy.

Hello,

I have spoken with our distributors and understand all US copies were shipped last week. You will appreciate that trade orders are fulfilled first and therefore I would hope your copy will be with you in the next few days.

If this is not the case, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we will look into it.

Thanks.
