The Venezuelan carrier, LA MIA Airlines is to lease five Canadair RJ 100 50 seater Regional Jets from BAE Asset Management, in a deal announced today by the airlines board. The bid from BAE won in the face of a rival bid from Trailing Edge Technologies for three McDonnell Douglas MD-83's. The RJ's will be used for national routes from the companies hub at Merida.
