I doubt if we will ever know just how much this will cost due to the lack of transparency in government accounts but figures I have heard quoted are a figure of $1.6 million per aircraft sortie ( counting indirect costs) and Tomahawk (not at replacement cost) $1.3 million.
It was reported today that the U.S. may add more firepower with the use of AC-130 gunships, helicopters (no type specified), and UAV's. The use of helicopters, (and I assume AH-64 gunships) would bring guys a little closer to the battle. Not so sure AH-64's will be part of this conflict but could definitley see AC-130's and UAV's.
